AMERICAN ELEMENTS ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF NEW ALUMINUM OXYNITRIDE

[ October 21, 2007, Los Angeles, CA ] American Elements announced today the development of a new high purity aluminum oxynitride to be marketed under the trade name ALONIDE™. The material was developed for use in certain advanced ceramic transparent applications, including military applications such as armor and bullet proof battle outerwear.

The product is available in lot sizes up to 2,000 kg. Small orders are also available for government, university and corporate R&D applications.
